Audio Visual Engineer

About the role

Abu Dhabi University is looking for a skilled Audio‑Visual Engineer to join its Digital Advancement, Transformation & AI department. The role is based on the Abu Dhabi campus and supports auditorium activities and university‑wide events.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain audio‑visual equipment including sound systems, LED displays, microphones and lighting technologies.
• Verify system readiness before each event and conduct pre‑event testing.
• Provide real‑time technical support during live sessions to ensure uninterrupted AV delivery.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to capture event requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a consistent, professional standard of AV execution across all university events.

Required profile

• Advanced technical knowledge of audio‑visual systems, sound engineering and lighting control.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work with faculty and event teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant AV certifications are preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
