Assistant Quality Officer

About the role

The Assistant Quality Officer will support the redesign and implementation of policy management processes across SEHA Corporate and its healthcare regions. This role ensures effective communication, compliance with accreditation standards, and continuous improvement of quality and patient safety initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring the redesigned policy management process.
• Support the establishment of structures needed for effective process implementation.
• Facilitate communication plans with stakeholders across SEHA Corporate and regional healthcare units.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain compliance with accreditation and certification requirements.
• Assist in onsite survey activities and implement improvement initiatives based on findings.
• Support the SEHA-wide safety culture framework, including surveys and improvement actions.
• Contribute to the identification and standardisation of critical policies and processes.
• Help deliver regional Quality and Patient Safety education programmes.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure systems, policies, and procedures meet customer and audit requirements.
• Introduce new systems, policies, and procedures where appropriate and train teams.
• Support CQI team in meetings, reporting, risk assessments, and issue escalation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to produce written reports and deliver presentations.
• Awareness of quality improvement, patient safety, and accreditation standards.
