Assistant Vice President Asset Management (Retail)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Asset Management (Retail) will support Aldar Properties’ retail strategy by analysing financial performance, managing P&L statements and driving asset acquisitions, disposals and transformations. The role works closely with asset managers, retail GMs and senior leadership to optimise asset performance and identify growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed P&L statements and consolidate financials for review by asset managers.
• Support the development pipeline by collaborating with AI‑DM to ensure timely delivery of assets.
• Conduct market studies, coordinate acquisitions and manage integration of newly acquired assets.
• Analyse under‑performing assets (IRR, ROI, ROE) and recommend disposals or transformations.
• Monitor P&L for assigned retail assets, adjusting rent pricing and tenant mix to meet financial targets.
• Build business cases for asset transformations and advise on rent rolls, pricing and operations for community malls.
• Analyse market trends and perform financial analysis on potential acquisitions, disposals or transformations.
• Coordinate with Retail GMs to identify synergies, track monthly operational and financial targets, and provide insights to the SVP Asset Management.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of experience managing retail asset properties with annual revenue exceeding AED 1 billion.
• Proven experience in retail management (malls and community retail) within the GCC real‑estate market.
• Strong background in property management and remedial auctions.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and stakeholder‑relationship skills.
