Associate Analyst – MENA

About the role

Dow Jones is seeking an Associate Analyst to join its Dragonfly MENA desk in Dubai. The role is full‑time and permanent, supporting anticipatory security and strategic intelligence for global businesses and international organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk‑based open‑source research and produce political, security and geopolitical risk assessments for the MENA region.
• Develop and maintain human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open‑source networks.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide responsive customer service and build positive relationships with clients and prospects.
• Mentor or manage junior analysts and researchers as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in security analysis, political risk research or crisis risk management.
• Strong analytical knowledge of political and security developments in the MENA region.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality client service and maintain professional relationships.
• Honest, curious and able to make evidence‑based analytical judgments.
• Knowledge of regional languages is desirable.
