Associate Analyst – MENA

About the role

Dow Jones is hiring an Associate Analyst for its Dragonfly MENA desk in Dubai. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the MENA desk lead, with a hybrid working policy that combines office and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desk‑based open‑source research and produce political, security and geopolitical risk assessments for the MENA region.
• Prepare and deliver reports, presentations and briefings to clients and other audiences.
• Develop and maintain resources such as human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open‑source networks.
• Mentor or manage junior analysts and researchers as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in security analysis, political risk research or crisis risk management.
• Strong analytical knowledge of political and security developments in the MENA region.
• Proven ability to provide responsive customer service and build positive client relationships.
• Honest, curious and capable of making evidence‑based analytical judgments.
