Associate Insurance Manager – Medcare Hospital

About the role

The Associate Insurance Manager will support Medcare Hospital’s strategic direction by leading insurance negotiations, budget planning, and operational excellence initiatives. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in strategic planning, aligning short‑ and long‑term goals with the hospital’s mission and vision.
• Lead quality, performance improvement, and service‑excellence programs across the organization.
• Oversee EBITDA of the unit, monitor costs, and focus on profitable service lines.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, involving department heads and advising the CEO on financial matters.
• Negotiate insurance coverage and rates with multiple insurers, assess applications, and select optimal solutions.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, NABH, and ISO standards.
• Investigate operational issues, implement control mechanisms, and establish MIS reporting for critical areas.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a hospital or large healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of physician needs and ability to integrate them with organizational objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and improve financial performance.
• Excellent communication, delegation, and team‑building skills.

Required skills

• Management Information Systems (MIS) for reporting and problem solving.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge (Joint Commission, NABH, ISO).
