Associate – International Banking & Finance

About the role

We are looking for an Associate to join our International Banking & Finance team in Dubai, supporting debt capital markets and a range of banking mandates, both conventional and Sharia‑compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Deal with capital‑markets matters of varying size and complexity, including both conventional and Sharia‑compliant transactions.
• Assist with transaction management from inception to close, drafting transaction documents, prospectuses and listing documents.
• Support general banking mandates by drafting facility agreements, security documents and ancillary paperwork, and liaising with opposing counsel and clients.
• Contribute to structured products and derivatives mandates, assisting partners in product development and client interaction.
• Manage due‑diligence processes and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide general finance advice in collaboration with the wider banking and finance team.
• Initiate and maintain effective client relationships and participate in marketing initiatives.
• Work across a variety of banking and capital‑markets specialisms as required.

Required profile

• 2–4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in banking and finance law.
• Proven ability to take responsibility for and manage files independently.
• Flexibility, positivity and the ability to work effectively in a close‑knit office environment.
• Interest in business development and willingness to assist in client‑relationship building.
• Strong transactional track record, preferably with experience on DCM transactions.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
