Athletics Track & Field Specialist Coach

About the role

The Athletics / Track & Field Specialist Coach will deliver high‑quality technical coaching across all programme levels, from Mini Athletics to the elite Performance Pathway. This coaching‑first position also includes programme leadership, curriculum design and mentorship responsibilities within AIS Athletics at ESM Academies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a detailed coaching curriculum for athletes of varying performance levels, continuously updating it to reflect best practices.
• Manage the athletics programme operations, coordinating training plans with coaches and monitoring athlete progress toward competitive goals.
• Provide specialised technical coaching to athletes at fundamental, development and elite stages.
• Participate actively in the Technical Athletics Committee, shaping philosophy and strategic direction for athletics within the academies.
• Identify and attend CPD workshops and seminars to enhance coaching techniques and programme quality.

Required profile

• Recognised athletics coaching qualification (e.g., England Athletics Level 1 minimum, World Athletics Level 1/2, or UAE Athletics Federation licence).
• Experience delivering coaching across multiple performance tiers, with a focus on athlete‑centred development.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative teamwork.
