Audit Associate – Entry Level (0-3 yrs) in UAE

About the role

The Audit Associate will support the planning and execution of audit engagements for clients in Sharjah and Dubai. This junior position involves reviewing internal controls, performing audit testing, and preparing documentation and reports under the guidance of senior auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, preparing, and executing audit engagements based on risk and materiality.
• Review internal controls, identify deficiencies, and perform audit tests on cash, receivables, payables, and other financial items.
• Examine accounting records for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with IFRS, US GAAP and ISA.
• Document audit procedures, findings, and conclusions; prepare working papers and engagement status reports.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
• Travel to client locations as required and maintain confidentiality of client information.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• 0‑3 years of audit experience, preferably with a Big 4 or reputable CA/audit firm.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Familiarity with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
