Audit Manager - Customs Operations

About the role

The Government of Dubai is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead customs operations audits. You will design audit plans, execute engagements, and support the development of strategic and operational initiatives for the Industry Department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive audit programs and execute audits of targeted auditees.
• Contribute to the Industry Department’s strategy and operational plans in line with senior guidance.
• Present audit findings, highlight short‑ and long‑term risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage follow‑up, monitor progress, and report on remediation efforts.
• Establish strategic partnerships, resolve audit issues, and escalate complex matters as needed.
• Lead research, thought‑leadership, and market‑insight initiatives related to customs operations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with local and international laws.
• Guide and develop the audit team through coaching, training, and skill‑building.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIA, or CFA (mandatory).
• Proven experience in audit management, preferably within customs or industry sectors.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
