AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician will ensure that all audio‑visual equipment used for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings and other events at Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites operates flawlessly. You will play a key part in delivering a seamless guest experience by setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV systems.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and dismantle AV equipment for a variety of events.
• Install, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot projectors, LED screens, televisions, sound systems, microphones, video‑conferencing gear and control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to guarantee reliable performance.
• Respond promptly to AV‑related maintenance requests from guests and internal departments.
• Test all equipment before events and monitor audio‑video systems during events, providing technical support as needed.
• Coordinate with Banquets, Events, Sales, IT and other departments to meet event requirements.
• Maintain inventory of AV gear, accessories, cables and spare parts, and keep accurate service records.
• Follow hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and brand standards.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during live events.
• Good communication skills to liaise with multiple hotel departments.
• Willingness to support energy‑conservation initiatives and suggest equipment improvements.
