Aviation Maintenance Teacher

About the role

ABC Private School is seeking an experienced Aviation Maintenance Teacher to join its technical education team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction to high‑school or diploma‑level students and supporting the development of the aviation maintenance curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Advise management and colleagues on training, logistical, administrative and discipline matters related to the curriculum.
• Plan, coordinate and continuously improve teaching, learning and assessment strategies in line with school policies.
• Develop curriculum materials, project plans and contribute ideas for ongoing improvement of teaching practices.
• Liaise with the Training Coordinator and other staff to ensure effective information exchange and support for learning initiatives.
• Manage day‑to‑day learning activities, maintain records and supervise the Aviation Technician program.
• Monitor student performance, implement quality‑assurance measures and report outcomes to school leadership.
• Maintain teaching resources and assist with program quality‑assurance processes.
• Communicate student progress to counselors, students and administration as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of successful teaching experience at high‑school/diploma level, or 5 years of relevant industry experience with training exposure.
• Excellent oral and written English; IELTS Academic 6.5 required for non‑native speakers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aircraft Maintenance, Electrical & Electronics/Avionics; Master’s degree desirable.
• Professional teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.) are preferred.
• EASA 66 or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• IC3 certification.
• Knowledge of EASA 66 standards (or equivalent).
