AVP & Lead, CAD International

About the role

The role supports the GM MO Control & Governance function by executing and monitoring first‑line control activities across Global Markets Middle Office processes. It ensures control discipline, timely exception escalation and accurate evidence management while working under the direction of the VP & Head of GM MO Control & Governance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily, periodic and event‑driven control checks across Global Markets products, maintaining control logs, issue trackers and evidence files.
• Perform trading permissions, booking template and internal trade booking controls, escalating breaches to the VP & Head as needed.
• Support risk monitoring by conducting off‑market trade checks, counter‑party exposure tracking and contributing to risk‑monitoring dashboards.
• Oversee internal reconciliations, external follow‑up and root‑cause analysis for breaks, aged items and high‑impact exceptions.
• Coordinate lifecycle event controls, manage escalation of credit events, corporate actions and settlement‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management or related field; professional qualification preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Global Markets Operations, Middle Office, Control, Governance, Reconciliations or related first‑line control functions.
• Strong understanding of Global Markets products such as FX, Money Markets, Rates, Derivatives, Commodities and structured products.
• Good knowledge of trade lifecycle controls, booking controls and regulatory reporting.
