AVP – Open Finance Platforms Engineering

About the role

The Assistant Vice President will lead the design, development and management of the bank's Open Finance and API platforms. This senior engineering role ensures secure, scalable digital services that support open banking initiatives, drive innovation and strengthen ecosystem partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategy, architecture and continuous improvement of the Open Finance and Open Banking platform.
• Lead large‑scale technology transformation programmes across banking and financial services.
• Design and oversee secure, scalable API ecosystems for fintech partners, third‑party providers and digital channels.
• Collaborate with business leaders, product owners and executive stakeholders to shape platform roadmaps.
• Ensure compliance with Open Banking/Open Finance regulations, security standards and data‑privacy requirements.
• Guide engineering teams through architecture decisions, solution design reviews and technical implementation.
• Manage relationships with regulators, financial institutions, technology vendors and fintech partners.
• Identify emerging technologies and trends to enhance customer experience and business value.
• Mentor and develop high‑performing engineering and delivery teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field (Master's or professional certifications are a plus).
• 12+ years of experience in technology, digital transformation or engineering leadership.
• Proven track record leading Open Finance or Open Banking platform initiatives in banking, financial services or fintech.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
