AVSEC Controller - Regulatory Affairs

About the role

Join the Emirates Group Security team as an AVSEC Controller – Regulatory Affairs, overseeing aviation security regulatory compliance across the Emirates Group and acting as the primary point of contact for AVSEC regulatory affairs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of Emirates’ Security Policy, Aircraft Operator Security Programme (AOSP), and Supplementary Station Procedures (SSPs) to ensure alignment with international standards.
• Validate alignment between GCAA, NCASP and Emirates operations, ensuring adherence to national and international aviation security requirements.
• Act as the AVSEC regulatory focal point, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory alignment and implementation.
• Monitor and track AVSEC regulatory activities, submissions and deliverables, ensuring timely follow‑up.
• Coordinate incorporation of aviation security requirements into operational processes, procedures and training.
• Promote aviation security awareness through stakeholder engagement and communications.
• Monitor and coordinate audit, inspection and exercise activities, ensuring readiness for IOSA, ISAGO and CTPAT assessments.

Required profile

• Completed degree or honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation security, security management or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of international aviation security standards, legislative frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Experience engaging and managing stakeholders including government authorities and industry partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IOSA standards and recommended practices.
• Familiarity with ICAO Annexes and related guidance material.
