B2 Aircraft Engineer – Base Maintenance

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a certified B2 Aircraft Engineer with extensive base maintenance experience to join its diverse fleet. The role involves performing and certifying maintenance tasks while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Certify own work and that of others, ensuring tasks meet approved data and authorization scope.
• Prepare all materials, parts, tools, and documentation at the start of each shift and maintain a clean, hazard‑free environment.
• Guide and assist Aircraft Technicians, conduct inspections of ground support equipment and company vehicles, and complete related checklists.
• Adhere to Etihad’s health, safety, and quality standards, promoting a safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, university degree, or equivalent.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA/EASA Part‑66/ICAO convertible to GCAA).
• 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of certifying experience in a Base/Light Maintenance environment.
• 2–3 years of certifying experience on at least two of Etihad’s aircraft types (Airbus 320/330 NEO/350/380, Boeing 777/787) with company authorization.

• Knowledge of Airbus and Boeing type ratings (Level 3).
• Compliance with GCAA/EASA regulations and Etihad’s safety & quality manuals.
