Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Quality Management Specialist executes day‑to‑day supplier quality activities for the mechanical commodity group, focusing on First Article Inspection (FAI), SCAR tracking and supplier performance data.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and review FAI packages per AS9102, verify dimensional reports, material and special‑process certifications, and flag non‑conformances.
• Log, distribute and track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) through to closure, following up on root‑cause analysis (8D) and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records and traceability documentation in line with AS9100D, supporting internal and customer audits.
• Support supplier Quarterly Business Reviews and Supplier Improvement Plans for under‑performing suppliers.
• Run department SQM KPI reports, maintain DPPM, on‑time delivery and audit‑status data, and feed risk flags into the program risk register.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of supplier/supply chain quality experience in aerospace or defence manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of AS9102 (FAI) and AS9100D requirements.
• Familiarity with investment casting, CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication processes.
