Backend Engineer – AI-driven Applications

About the role

The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend systems that power AI‑driven applications. You will build robust APIs, integrate machine‑learning services, and ensure reliable data processing in production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate AI/ML services and manage data pipelines.
• Maintain and optimise databases (SQL and NoSQL) for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define system requirements and architecture.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuring high availability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Proficiency in English communication.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Python, Java, Node.js.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, NoSQL.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Microservices architecture, APIs, distributed systems, caching, asynchronous processing.
