Base Technical Representative

About the role

The Base Technical Representative acts as Etihad Airways' on‑site liaison during base maintenance activities, ensuring that all work performed by the MRO meets regulatory and Etihad standards.

Key responsibilities

• Approve high‑cost material purchases on behalf of Etihad.
• Review and validate engineering work and additional tasks performed by the MRO.
• Authorize estimated man‑hours for findings and audit maintenance work.
• Serve as the primary Etihad contact for the MRO, attending meetings and handling unscheduled work requests.
• Coordinate, monitor, and drive activities between the MRO and Etihad, maintaining detailed records and KPIs.
• Manage aircraft turnaround time (TAT) to ensure timely completion of maintenance.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or diploma/aircraft license with at least 3 years of aviation maintenance experience.
• Minimum 7 years in the aviation industry, including at least 2 years as a Technical Representative or Liaison Engineer.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
