Biology Teacher

About the role

GEMS Wellington International School is seeking an enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join its vibrant faculty in Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver engaging biology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, fostering a love of science and critical thinking among students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum‑aligned biology lessons for secondary students.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Integrate practical laboratory work and digital resources into teaching.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement.

Required profile

• B.Ed or a subject‑related degree with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience teaching biology at Key Stages 3‑5.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational IT tools and platforms.
