Teaching Assistant & School Bus Attendant

About the role

Nibras International School is seeking a Teaching Assistant & Bus Attendant to support classroom learning and ensure safe transport for students. The role combines classroom support duties with responsibility for student safety on school buses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute project materials, set up audio equipment, and record attendance.
• Maintain classroom supplies, clean workspaces, and assist children with materials.
• Create and display educational materials, decorate classrooms and corridors.
• Supervise snack times and perform general office tasks such as photocopying and filing.
• Support the classroom teacher with instructional activities and reinforce learning material.
• Monitor student safety on the bus, ensure seat‑belt use, and check attendance before departure and arrival.
• Manage student behavior on the bus, report issues to the transport manager, and communicate absences to teachers/parents.
• Hand over students to authorized adults at drop‑off and conduct end‑of‑trip checks.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma with at least 2 years experience as a teacher assistant or similar role.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English.
• Strong sense of professionalism, safeguarding, and child welfare.
• Empathetic listener with integrity, confidentiality, and intercultural awareness.
• Flexible, can‑do attitude and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and transport staff.
