Boiler Operator

About the role

The Boiler Operator will manage and maintain boiler systems that provide steam and hot water for slaughterhouse and processing operations. You will ensure safe, continuous, and efficient boiler performance while adhering to all regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate steam boilers and related utility systems according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, water levels, fuel consumption and adjust operations to meet production needs.
• Conduct routine inspections of boilers, pumps, valves, burners and pressure vessels, recording all parameters.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, blowdown procedures and coordinate scheduled servicing.
• Maintain water‑treatment systems to prevent corrosion and scale formation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, LOTO procedures and respond to emergency shutdowns.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or Technical/Vocational Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
• Boiler Operator certification or license where required.
• 2–5 years of experience operating industrial boilers in manufacturing, food processing or similar environments.
