About the role

As a Business Development Manager at RAKBANK, you will drive new business acquisition for elite high‑net‑worth accounts across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The role focuses on expanding liability growth and cross‑selling wealth and investment solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end operational governance of Wealth & Investment products, including equities, mutual funds, bonds, structured products, and bancassurance.
  • Manage investment and insurance product setup and terminal configurations to ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Oversee the complete transaction and trade lifecycle, ensuring timely processing in line with market cut‑offs and service level agreements.
  • Perform daily reconciliations across cash, income, units/holdings, and premiums, and resolve exceptions with strong ageing and escalation controls.
  • Act as the primary operations liaison with brokers, asset managers, custodians, and insurance partners, monitoring service delivery and performance.
  • Maintain a robust risk and control environment, including maker‑checker controls and audit‑ready documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with SCA, CBUAE, Insurance Authority regulations and internal policies.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate MIS and operational reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Partner with Wealth Front Office, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT to support smooth operations.
  • Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance accuracy and customer experience.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, promoting ownership and operational excellence.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in banking, wealth management, relationship management or customer service, preferably with high‑net‑worth clients.
  • Advisory‑level experience on investment product offerings.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of local banking legal framework and AML guidelines.
  • Awareness of Central Bank regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills for generating and interpreting MIS.
  • Good knowledge of wealth‑management retail products.
  • HNWI relationship management capabilities.
