Business Development Manager – Events (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager – Events to drive growth across the UAE market. The role focuses on expanding our client base within government, semi‑government, corporate and private sectors, leveraging an existing network and creating new opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Identify, generate and qualify new business opportunities in the UAE events market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers across government, semi‑government, corporate and private organisations.
• Generate leads, arrange client meetings and convert prospects into signed contracts.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and commercial offers.
• Negotiate contracts, close deals and achieve assigned sales KPIs.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and produce regular business development reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with account management, creative and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within events, exhibitions, advertising or marketing.
• Strong, proven knowledge of the UAE market and an existing client network is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs.
• Established relationships with government, semi‑government, corporate and private sector clients.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and closing abilities.
• Highly driven, results‑oriented and proactive personality.
• Ability to work independently, generate leads and develop new business.
• Currently based in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
