Business Development Manager - MICE

About the role

As a Business Development Manager – MICE you will drive revenue growth by developing and managing meetings, incentives, conferences and events business for Shangri‑La Qaryat Al Beri. You will build strong relationships with corporate clients, event organizers and agencies while aligning sales strategies with the hotel’s luxury positioning and large‑scale event capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and manage MICE accounts to achieve rooms, banquet and event revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, PCOs and MICE agencies.
• Prepare and negotiate group contracts, proposals and event packages in coordination with operations teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies within the UAE MICE segment.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales missions, site inspections and networking events.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the UAE MICE market, event planning processes and group contracting.
• Excellent negotiation, sales and relationship‑management skills.
• Ability to manage complex proposals, large‑scale events and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills across departments.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to forecast, budget and track MICE performance.
• Highly organized, proactive and able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 3‑5 years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.
