Business Development Manager – South Middle East & Iraq

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to lead our lubricants business across the South Middle East and Iraq. Based in Dubai, you will act as the primary link between TotalEnergies’ regional sales office and local distributors, driving growth, ensuring compliance and managing industrial accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse country‑ and segment‑wise market potential and develop tailored strategies for the South ME region and Iraq.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing distributors and identify, appoint new distributors in vacant markets.
• Set annual volume targets for each distributor and support them to achieve these goals.
• Coordinate compliance, loading and payment processes for industrial clients in Iraq and Yemen.
• Monitor and update customs regulations, anti‑counterfeit measures and political risk assessments.
• Collaborate with internal functions (Marketing, HSE, Customer Service, Technical, Supply Chain) to ensure seamless execution of action plans.
• Travel frequently across the region to meet distributors, clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and convince stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of industrial logistics, distributor management and compliance processes.
• Awareness of political and security dynamics in the target countries.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the South Middle East and Iraq.

Required skills

• Experience using distributor management tools such as the SSM portal.
