Business Executive Sub-Saharan Africa

About the role

Informa is seeking a Business Executive to lead market intelligence and partnership development across Sub‑Saharan African academic institutions. Based in Dubai, you will work closely with the Taylor & Francis Group to identify high‑potential sales opportunities and strengthen our presence in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Map and monitor universities, research centres, and societies to uncover partnership and sales prospects.
• Build and maintain a robust database of decision‑makers, influencers and stakeholders.
• Track market developments, competitor activities and higher‑education policies in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Conduct comprehensive research on education budgets, funding mechanisms and procurement processes.
• Analyse datasets with advanced Excel and generate actionable insights.
• Maintain the sales pipeline in Salesforce.com and manage lead information through all sales stages.
• Respond to RFPs, produce customized quotes and leverage internal BI tools such as Source, Institutional Profiler and Power BI.
• Adopt AI tools like Elysia spark to enhance research efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in market intelligence, research or business development within Sub‑Saharan African higher‑education markets.
• Strong understanding of educational policies, funding structures and institutional procurement.
• Ability to synthesize large data sets and present clear, actionable recommendations.
