Camp Boss – Labour Accommodation Manager

About the role

The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, discipline, and welfare of a labour accommodation camp in the UAE. The role ensures compliance with local labour laws, municipality regulations, and the company's HSE and welfare standards while providing a safe, clean, and organized living environment for up to several thousand workers.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day camp operations, including accommodation blocks, kitchens, dining halls, washrooms, and recreational areas.
• Ensure all utilities (electrical, plumbing, AC, ventilation, sewage) are functional and coordinate timely repairs.
• Maintain occupancy records, allocate rooms/beds, and supervise housekeeping, pest control, and waste disposal.
• Enforce UAE camp regulations, conduct daily safety inspections, and manage fire safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Address worker grievances, enforce camp discipline, and coordinate medical emergencies.
• Supervise canteen or external catering services, monitor food quality, and ensure 24/7 access to clean drinking water.
• Maintain inventory of camp assets and prepare regular occupancy and incident reports.
• Coordinate transport logistics and manage visitor entry/exit logs.

Required profile

• High school diploma, ITI or Diploma in Hotel Management / Facility Management (preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Camp Boss, Camp Manager, or Senior Accommodation Supervisor in the UAE/GCC construction or manpower supply sector.
• Fluent English; Hindi/Urdu/Malayalam/Arabic considered an advantage.
• HSE awareness certification.
