Canteen Supervisor

About the role

Prokore is seeking an experienced Canteen Supervisor to manage daily operations of its Dubai canteen. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality food service, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth cash and staff management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day canteen activities, including food service, cashier duties, and staff coordination.
• Prepare and serve coffee and hot beverages for staff and visitors.
• Supervise wait staff during breakfast and lunch service.
• Handle cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately and operate the POS system.
• Prepare daily cash and sales reports and reconcile at closing.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, hygiene, and cleanliness; ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Maintain stock levels and coordinate supply requirements with the central kitchen.
• Address customer and student queries, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a school canteen or similar food‑service environment.
• Previous role as Canteen Supervisor, Cashier, or Catering Supervisor.
• Strong leadership, organizational abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Honest, responsible, and able to manage a small team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS/cashier systems.
• Cash‑handling and basic accounting skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
