Captain – A350/A380 (Etihad Airways)

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Captain to operate Airbus A350 and A380 aircraft from its Abu Dhabi hub. The role involves full responsibility for the safety, security, and efficient operation of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo throughout each flight.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of crew, passengers, and cargo from taxi‑out to shutdown.
• Conduct pre‑flight briefings, review regulations, route documentation, and emergency procedures.
• Exercise authority to issue commands, disembark hazardous cargo, and deviate from procedures when safety demands.
• Oversee compliance with Etihad operational checklists and manufacturer procedures.
• Maintain fuel efficiency, on‑time performance, and customer awareness.

Required profile

• Minimum 7,000 total flight hours, including 2,500 PIC hours on multi‑crew glass‑cockpit jets.
• At least 2,000 PIC hours on any Airbus wide‑body fly‑by‑wire aircraft.
• Valid type rating on an Airbus wide‑body FBW aircraft (minimum 2 months validity at joining).
• Unrestricted, current ICAO ATPL and Class 1 medical certificate.
• Recent experience (within 12 months) on an Airbus FBW aircraft.
• Age under 59 years at the date of joining.
