Captain Waiter

About the role

The Captain Waiter will lead the front‑of‑house team at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi, ensuring every guest receives a memorable dining experience. This permanent, full‑time position combines service excellence with staff leadership in a luxury hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, manage seating, and coordinate table assignments to optimise flow.
• Oversee order accuracy, timing and presentation, working closely with kitchen staff.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Conduct staff training on service protocols, menu knowledge and customer interaction.
• Monitor health, safety and sanitation compliance throughout the dining area.
• Manage reservations, special requests and communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients and beverage pairings.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including station setup and inventory checks.
• Provide performance feedback and support staff development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in restaurant service management.
• Proven leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, luxury hospitality setting.
