Produce Coordinator

About the role

The Produce Coordinator leads the produce department of a community market, ensuring high‑quality service, efficient operations and strong financial performance. You will manage staff, inventory, merchandising and budgeting while modelling excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily produce department operations, including scheduling, productivity, gross profit, budgeting and pricing.
• Manage ordering, receiving, stocking and merchandising of fresh produce.
• Maintain department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Provide direction, supervision and mentorship to produce staff.
• Participate in the Store Operating Committee and contribute to reporting and signage.

Required profile

• Proven ability to deliver professional, customer‑focused service.
• Extensive experience in high‑volume retail produce operations.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience.
• Knowledge of accounting, budgeting and inventory procedures.
