Cardiovascular Technologist – Cardiology Services

About the role

The Cardiovascular Technologist will support advanced cardiac diagnostic and interventional services within the Cardiology department. This position involves performing and interpreting a range of cardiac procedures while ensuring patient safety and high‑quality documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and provide education prior to cardiac procedures.
• Conduct cardiac investigations, including echocardiography, catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, and ambulatory cardiac procedures.
• Operate and manage haemodynamic, ultrasound, and mapping equipment according to protocol.
• Interpret findings and prepare reports for physician review and sign‑off.
• Participate in departmental training, clinical audits, and improvement projects.
• Manage consumable inventory and ensure proper equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Document procedures meticulously and report critical results promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a cath lab, vascular unit, echocardiography, or ECG technology.
• Current national professional license.
• BSc degree in a cardiovascular program.
