Cargo Planning Controller

About the role

The Cargo Planning Controller will lead the commercial and operational planning of Emirates SkyCargo’s freighter network. Working closely with charter customers, internal stakeholders and management, you will optimise routes, revenues and contractual agreements to maximise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate commercial and operational aspects of wet‑lease and Emirates freighters.
• Prepare and negotiate charter, block‑space and long‑term cargo contracts in line with EK best practices.
• Initiate and decide on routings and re‑routings of scheduled freighter services based on market demand.
• Secure slots, permits and equine product procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with shipping agents, network stations, capacity control and operations teams to increase revenue contributions.

Required profile

• Strong commercial acumen with experience in air cargo or freight planning.
• Ability to make data‑driven decisions and propose charter solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder negotiation.
• Detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in commercial contract preparation.
• Knowledge of freighter network planning and revenue optimisation.
• Familiarity with slot management and regulatory permits.
