Category Manager – Procurement (UAE National)

About the role

As a Category Manager you will lead procurement for a wide range of aircraft supplies, from guest comfort items to innovative onboard products. The role focuses on delivering best value for Etihad through price savings, service quality, supply‑chain reliability and local content objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain category and sub‑category demand plans in close collaboration with end‑users.
• Design and execute sourcing strategies, applying appropriate procurement levers and financial analyses (TCO).
• Lead high‑value, complex projects from strategy through contract award and post‑contract supplier management.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to achieve cost savings and performance targets.
• Monitor ongoing sourcing transactions with the Procurement Operations Team.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and support contract performance management.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification preferred; CIPS or equivalent professional certification desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant category management experience, including PSM roles.
• Experience leading teams and developing staff.
