Category Sales Specialist (Fruits & Vegetables)

About the role

The Category Sales Specialist for Fruits and Vegetables acts as the operational bridge between category management and the sales team, driving revenue across UAE retail and HORECA channels. You will support the Category Manager with data, pricing, and supplier workflows while directly enabling the sales force through client mapping, market visits, and product demonstrations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client mapping to identify high‑potential restaurants, hotels, cafes, and retailers for targeted product lines.
• Join sales teams on market visits to gather feedback, pitch innovations, and assess competitor placements.
• Support product demonstrations and tastings for chefs, procurement managers, and retail buyers.
• Coordinate sample distribution and follow‑up on trial feedback.
• Analyze sales data to highlight top‑performing SKUs, slow‑moving inventory, and KPI metrics such as profit margins and stock turns.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and update pricing architectures in the ERP system.
• Track stock levels to align availability with sales forecasts and promotional demand.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in FMCG, food distribution, or HORECA sales/support within the UAE.
• Strong presentation abilities and confidence to conduct live product demonstrations.
• Solid understanding of the UAE food market landscape.
• Valid UAE driving licence and willingness to travel frequently for client visits.
• Fluent English (Arabic is a plus).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
