Charter Manager – Offshore Vessel Chartering

About the role

Seagull Offshore is seeking an experienced Charter Manager to lead vessel chartering activities for offshore energy and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with Business Development, Commercial and Operations teams to source, evaluate and secure the right offshore vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and charter ERRVs, DP vessels, AHTS, PSVs and other offshore support vessels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vessel owners, operators and brokers.
• Assess vessel availability, capability, certification and suitability for project needs.
• Negotiate charter rates, mobilisation/demobilisation terms, extensions and other commercial conditions.
• Provide vessel technical and commercial data for tenders and proposals.
• Support vessel sourcing strategies for upcoming projects.
• Monitor market trends, supply‑demand dynamics and prevailing charter rates.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure smooth vessel mobilisation and project delivery.
• Assist in reviewing charter party terms and related contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of charter arrangements, rates and commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore vessel chartering or marine commercial management.
• Strong knowledge of the offshore support vessel market, including ERRV and DP vessels.
• Experience working with vessel owners, operators or brokers.
• Background supporting offshore energy or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to provide chartering input for tenders and proposals.
