Chief Data Architect

About the role

Emirates is seeking a senior leader to define and govern the enterprise data architecture across its global aviation business. The role will shape the future state data platforms, ensure alignment with the Group’s data and analytics strategy, and drive secure, scalable, and sustainable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and enforce enterprise IT standards, architectural principles, and data governance frameworks.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for modernising the data estate, evaluating emerging technologies and managing technical debt.
• Provide architecture governance, influence strategic technology decisions, and collaborate with business, technology, and ED&A teams.
• Mentor solution architects and development teams, fostering a high‑performance, collaborative culture.
• Oversee the integration of resilience, automation, and security into infrastructure, operations, and platform designs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading enterprise data architecture initiatives in large, complex organisations.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align technology decisions with business objectives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
