Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Dubai

About the role

We are a premium pre‑owned automotive business in Dubai seeking a Chief Financial Officer to drive our financial strategy and support the Managing Director, board and shareholders as we expand.

Key responsibilities

• Set and execute the financial strategy aligned with long‑term growth and profitability goals.
• Act as strategic advisor to the Managing Director, board and shareholders on major business decisions.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across all locations.
• Own inventory and working‑capital strategy, including stock financing, cash‑flow management and banking relationships.
• Evaluate investments, expansion opportunities and new business lines with clear commercial recommendations.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to shareholders, including projections and board packs.
• Build and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard assets and minimise risk.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax and manage engagement with the Federal Tax Authority.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, finance partners and regulators.
• Lead, develop and grow a finance team of 10+ professionals.

Required profile

• 12‑15 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a CFO, Finance Director or equivalent senior role.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CFA.
• Automotive, dealership or financial services background strongly preferred.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax with hands‑on experience dealing with the FTA.
• Proven track record managing banking relationships, inventory financing and audits.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or ACCPAC.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team of 10+ members.
