Chief System Engineer

About the role

AL TARIQ’s Advanced Concepts division is seeking a Chief System Engineer to lead the technical development of high‑technology autonomous systems, including unmanned aerial vehicles, precision loitering munitions and guided artillery. You will own the end‑to‑end performance of complex system elements throughout their life cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assume overall technical authority for product systems, managing mission analysis, requirements, architecture, verification and validation.
• Lead creation and modification of detailed aircraft and missile designs using advanced CAD tools.
• Perform aerodynamic and flight‑mechanics analyses with CFD and other simulation platforms.
• Direct hands‑on prototyping using 3D printing, CNC machining and custom PCB design.
• Design and integrate hardware and software for defense systems, implementing PX4 and MAVLink communications.
• Develop high‑performance C++ applications for real‑time processing and build Qt/QML interfaces for ground control stations.
• Utilize ROS to develop modular robotic applications, integrating sensors such as cameras and LiDAR.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• At least 18 years of relevant systems engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or defense.
• Proven track record of leading complex system development from concept to operational deployment.
