Child Minder

About the role

The Child Minder supports guests by overseeing recreational and child‑focused activities at Le Méridien Dubai. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures a safe, enjoyable environment for families using the hotel’s pools, beach, entertainment zone, fitness centre and dedicated children’s area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about all recreation facilities and guide guests on usage.
• Encourage, register and schedule guests for pool, beach, fitness and children’s activities.
• Promote safety rules, monitor activities and respond to emergencies according to procedures.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals and facility use.
• Assist with private functions, group events and maintain clean, well‑stocked facilities.
• Support injured guests until medical services arrive and report incidents to management.

Required profile

• Excellent customer service attitude with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work long periods standing, walking or moving equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with guests of diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to assist guests with disabilities and ensure inclusive service.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic computer usage for data entry and information retrieval.
