Civil Draftsman – Dubai Construction

About the role

DATUM GENERAL CONTRACTING is seeking an experienced Civil Draftsman to join its Dubai office. The role focuses on producing accurate civil and structural shop drawings, as‑built documentation, and managing submissions to Dubai Municipality and the Building Permit System (BPS) for ongoing construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil, structural and site shop drawings using AutoCAD in line with project specifications.
• Develop as‑built drawings and update them throughout the construction phase.
• Prepare, upload and follow up on all required documents for Dubai Municipality and Dubai BPS online submissions.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants and technical teams to ensure drawing compliance with authority standards.
• Maintain organized documentation and revision control for all project drawings.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience as a Civil Draftsman, preferably on Dubai projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting or a related field.
• Immediate availability and ability to work full‑time on‑site in Dubai.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for civil and structural drafting.
• Hands‑on experience with Dubai Municipality and Dubai BPS online submission procedures.
• Strong ability to produce and manage shop and as‑built drawings.
