Senior Hook Up Engineer – Dubai

About the role

The Senior Hook Up Engineer leads the discipline and supports the Hook‑up Lead and Manager in delivering construction and completion campaigns during the hook‑up phase, solving complex problems to ensure successful, timely project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review hook‑up job cards, develop the work breakdown structure and schedule, ensuring proper sequencing with other disciplines.
• Review construction work packs and material requisitions for compliance, coordinate deliveries to on‑site, yard, port or offshore locations, and monitor progress registers.
• Develop and implement detailed hook‑up plans for onshore and offshore projects, providing technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Liaise with warehouse, fabrication and material teams to verify material tags, hand over fabricated items, and support commissioning activities.
• Conduct risk assessments, enforce API and ISO standards, ensure compliance with QHSES policies, and participate in toolbox talks and permit‑to‑work procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of offshore engineering experience with strong knowledge of API and ISO standards.
• Proven leadership, communication and decision‑making abilities in multidisciplinary environments.
• Proactive safety focus and ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
