Civil Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure (Dubai)

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the inspection and supervision of major roads, bridges and underpass projects in Dubai. You will ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, local codes and RTA standards while supporting the delivery of high‑quality infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction of bridges and underpasses, ensuring design compliance and safety.
• Review and approve contractors' shop drawings, material proposals and construction methods.
• Conduct regular field inspections, monitor progress and produce daily diaries, inspection reports and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain schedules.
• Oversee inspectors, guide contractor operations and review as‑built drawings.
• Monitor project conformance with contractor schedules and propose corrective actions.
• Collaborate with senior engineering team to develop innovative solutions for complex challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience supervising roads, highways, bridges and underpasses.
• Previous experience working in Dubai with knowledge of local construction practices and regulations.
• Strong project management abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of bridge and underpass construction techniques.
