Civil Engineer – Site Supervision

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support the Resident Engineer/ARE in overseeing construction activities across its infrastructure projects in the UAE. The role involves on‑site supervision, ensuring compliance with design documents and local regulations, and contributing to project close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer/ARE with daily site operations.
• Monitor construction progress and verify contractor adherence to drawings, specifications, and authority regulations.
• Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material data, and RFIs.
• Provide on‑site direction and supervise inspection staff as directed.
• Measure work completed and report findings to the Resident Engineer/ARE.
• Observe and promote site safety practices.
• Track contractor resource allocation and support project close‑out documentation.
• Participate in health and safety initiatives and act as a liaison with the project Safety Representative.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on infrastructure projects, with local service agency experience in Dubai.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management and staff.
• Commitment to safe work practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard civil engineering computer software.
