Civil Inspector (Roads & Infrastructure)

About the role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Civil Inspector specialized in roads and infrastructure to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves continuous on‑site surveillance of roadworks, storm‑water systems and cycle‑track facilities to ensure strict compliance with approved plans, specifications and relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that all road, storm‑water and cycle‑track construction works follow approved drawings, specifications, ADM/DMT standards and active‑mobility guidelines.
• Supervise the construction of cycle tracks, checking pavement layers, asphalt, kerbs, segregation elements, signage, road markings, drainage and street furniture for correct geometry, level, cross‑fall, width and safety.
• Report any non‑conformance or workmanship issues to the ARE or RE, including deviations in geometry, surface quality or user safety.
• Maintain a detailed daily diary of activities, approvals, rejections, labor and equipment usage, and sign off as directed.
• Interact with the public, residents, businesses and road users to mitigate construction impacts and address safety and traffic‑management concerns.
• Coordinate daily with the contractor’s site engineers to advise on proper execution and corrective actions for road, drainage and cycle‑track works.
• Collaborate with other discipline inspectors such as structural, electrical and landscape teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months (3 years) of experience in civil inspection, road works or related infrastructure projects.
