Civil Inspector - Roads Utility

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Civil Inspector specialized in roads and utility works to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves ensuring that road construction and associated civil infrastructure are built in line with approved drawings, specifications, inspection‑test‑plans and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect road construction activities including earthworks, subgrade, sub‑base, base and asphalt paving.
• Verify drainage and wet‑utility interfaces and witness required testing.
• Confirm that materials and workmanship comply with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain daily diaries, inspection reports, IR records and log non‑conformances (NCRs) with follow‑up actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, testing laboratories and the supervision team to resolve site issues and keep progress on schedule.
• Promote health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of inspection experience on road and civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and inspection procedures.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a site‑based environment.
