Class Teacher – KG & Cycle 1 (Early Years & Key Stage 1)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah branch is looking for a motivated Class Teacher to deliver the British curriculum to KG and Cycle 1 learners in a vibrant international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British curriculum for children aged 3‑7.
• Assess, monitor, record and report student progress using appropriate assessment tools.
• Create a safe, positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere that supports well‑being and academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to enhance learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education.
• PGCE or equivalent qualification leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Valid teaching licence or certification from the home country.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of full‑time post‑qualification teaching experience in KG/Cycle 1 within a British‑curriculum school.
• Experience teaching children aged 3‑7 and, preferably, in an international school setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in integrating educational technology into classroom practice.
• Ability to use assessment data to inform instruction and track progress.
