Manager Training Centre and Academy

About the role

EtihadWE is seeking an experienced Manager for its Training Centre and Academy to lead and continuously improve operational and technical training activities, ensuring employees and trainees have the necessary knowledge, skills, safety awareness, and competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual operational and technical training plans aligned with the Technical Academy strategy.
• Lead the creation of competency‑based training programs, structured learning pathways, and OJT frameworks.
• Maintain technical competency frameworks, coordinate trainers and assessors, and ensure competency sign‑offs after assessments.
• Manage delivery of training, maintain facilities, and support new projects, assets, and technologies.
• Ensure training complies with HSEQ policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct training needs analysis, monitor training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and develop the technical training team, setting objectives, KPIs, and fostering professional growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Education, Vocational Education, Learning & Development or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in operational, engineering or technical training, with at least 3‑5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong background in utilities, energy, power generation, water, manufacturing or similar sectors.
• Proven experience developing competency‑based technical training programs and OJT/assessment systems.
• Experience managing technical trainers, SMEs, training providers and working with technical procedures, SOPs and safety requirements.
