Clinical Social Worker – UAEN

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team at Bareen International Hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves assessing patients’ psychosocial needs and coordinating comprehensive support throughout their hospital stay and discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments covering mental, emotional, social, family, and financial aspects.
• Develop and implement individualized care or discharge plans in collaboration with doctors, nurses, and other staff.
• Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and families facing stress, trauma, chronic illness, or end‑of‑life situations.
• Coordinate post‑hospital services such as rehabilitation, home health, or long‑term care placement.
• Connect patients with community resources, financial aid, housing services, and support groups.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and assist them in navigating healthcare systems and insurance processes.
• Respond to crisis situations, including abuse cases, mental health emergencies, or sudden illness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW).
• Professional licensing appropriate to the region.
• Prior experience in healthcare or clinical settings is preferred.
